Matilde Hotel is located on the first floor inside an extraordinary historic building located in Piazzetta Matilde Serao, from which its name originates. In fact, our hotel is inspired by one of the most prominent female figures in journalism and in the Italian literary scene between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries: Matilde Serao, the first Italian woman to have founded and directed a newspaper, Il Mattino.
